You are in front of the monument 'De Zee' (H). Cross the street east to the intersection with Hendrik Serruyslaan. Turn left here straight into the city centre. You will pass the Marie-Joséplein with its picturesque tram stop. Do NOT follow the tram tracks but keep going straight ahead on Madridstraat. The street makes a slight turn to the right, keep following it until you reach the intersection with Langestraat. Turn right here and stop. Your assignment is at the bottom of the map.

Somewhere in this stretch of street once stood the birthplace of a famous Eastern character. By now you know who this was. Find the place where her/his birthplace once stood. Nothing of the house itself can be seen anymore, but something still reminds you of this. Take a photo of it.
